Believe in Something

girl effectAt FYM we have a key principal we follow:  Believe in something bigger than yourself.”  We know that the day-to-day of starting a business can be hard going sometimes, but the big picture includes a vision to improve life and opportunities for young people – everywhere.

At FYM, giving has always been a part of the business plan.  Every investor or potential investor has known that up front.  As much as we want to help increase your personal wealth, we hope that you will also want to increase the wealth of others, particularly if they are less fortunate.

With that in mind, it’s natural for us to share the vision that gets us up each morning and feature some of our favourite charities and projects.

We are passionate about 2 main things:

1.  Education

2. Enterprise

(Kinda makes sense that we’ve started up a magazine empowering people in business, money and leadership, hey?)

We’ve also come to realise a couple of other things:  Recently, bankers, executives and young people seem to have the worst reputations when it comes to money and being generous with it.  We’ve heard all the accusations before: selfish, tax dodgers, big money, easy money, free money… getting a free ride and enjoying an easy life ….

At Fresh Young Millionaire, we haven’t found that to be the case at all.

In fact, we have met so many generous, hard working bankers, execs and young people who are looking for something to be a part of, to give to, to believe in.   We’ve been in discussions with countless businesses and banks of every size who are on board, getting involved and giving their time and money to the FYM vision.  Young people want to write, interview or contribute illustrations and photography.  (Stick around, you’ll be sure to meet them here first!).

First on our list of featured charity projects is The Girl Effect sponsored by the Nike Foundation.  Watch this video and let us know what you think:

Does that sound like something you could believe in?
